Introducing the Budgies
New Lambton Football Club would like to introduce their first all-girl SSF team. Aptly named "the Budgies" they are arguably the prettiest Under 6 team to take the field on a Saturday morning. Football is fast becoming a popular sport among young girls with an increasing number of registrations in both the mixed SSF and junior competitions, as well as the Sunday girls/womens competition. Recently the Budgies had a photo shoot with the Telegraph Newspaper as they examined this rise in popularity.
