Dandy FC - Charity Fundraiser
On Sunday August the 14th, the side will travel to Sydney to participate in the annual City2Surf and have decided to raise money for CanTeen.
Through football and friendship, the New Lambton All Age M team also known as "Dandy FC" have been using their time off the field to raise money for kids with cancer. The boys, aged 18 to 21, have been long time friends, most meeting when they attended school together at Merewether High. On Sunday August the 14th, the side will travel to Sydney to participate in the annual City2Surf and have decided to raise money for CanTeen, an organisation directed at supporting and enriching the lives of youths between the age of 12 and 24 who are living with Cancer.
The young side have been playing together for 3 years, and their friendship off the field has been their motivation behind their decision to help out the kids in need. With a strong feeling of mateship in the side, the boys have endured the tough ride that cancer brings. With diagnosis in family, friends, and even one of their own teammates, the young side have stuck together to prove that friendship, feeling good and having a good time, is the real winner in the social sporting world.
